Ok another week has gone by and it's closer to Christmas! My son has asked Santa for everything that is advertised on the television. Hey the good thing is that my daughter child is spending some time trying to figure out what to get her Mommy! :>) If you know Amer....that is pretty funny!

Let see what happened this week???? This was the last week of classes before exams. I'm sure I'll go through withdrawals next week. I really enjoyed teaching the class and the students are so funny! It's amazing watching them grow and develop from the start of the semester to the end.

Will and I went to an Office X-mas party on Wednesday evening. For those of you who are not from the south, it is almost impossible to plan an event on a Wednesday night in the south...that's church night. Anyway, Will and I had an adventure finding the house on the dark street where it sat. The owner's big clue for us was to look for the house with the lighted wreath on the door. People....it's the X-mas holiday....who doesn't have a lighted wreath on the door? lol

We eventually found the house and a good time was had by all...

Still considering getting a dog from the shelter for Will. I really do thing that all kids should have a pet and he has a fish...but that doesn't satisfy the need. I'm procrastinating because it really cost to have a pet (especially a dog). Decisions, decisions.....

YAAAAAAY finals... i have two finals tomorrow and one tuesday. I'm sure you will get over missing the class pretty quickly, you will be free! FREE! or maybe that's just how I feel about all of this college stuff. lol. but yes, I think the dog idea is a good one, I know I always loved having a dog around when I was little, but it will give Will a few more responsibilities, such as give puppy water and food, etc. mhm well Merry Christmas.. i think its ok to say it now right? eh oh well.

Our experience with dogs...

dog odors are hard to get rid of so remember this if you plan to have an indoor pet and especially if you plan to sell your home. People without dogs can smell the scent that you can't.

dog hair is exceeding difficult to remove because it's very fine. This is true on hard surfaces. Consider a dog that doesn't shed.

All dogs need to be walked everyday unless they are outside. This will become part of your routine.

Dog behavior is linked to consistancy. Do the same things everyday at around the same time.

Dogs need to be cared for when you go away for any length of time, even an over night trip. This is especially true for indoor dogs.

Dogs need interaction with people and other dogs to help them develop social skills. Otherwise, they jump on you to play or bark unnecessarily when friends come around or they see other dogs.

Pets truly become part of the family. Plan for them as you would any other member of the family.
